Thanks for the hint.

What disturbed me was not the conversion from real to integer, but the fact that of getting an impossible complex result for exp (M), with elements of M being real, the decomposition giving already a complex matrix.

I am afraid that I can't be of any further help, as my math and programming level is quite a basically one.

Calculations with 64×64 Matrixes is impressive anyway, as with the memory content of the my HP50G with EMU48 I hardly can calculate 8×8 or 9×9 Matrixes.
