Thanks for the info! It won't be possible to replace the RAM then.

Strange why Sharp also put the ROM on a separate removable PCB. So the ROMs of the PC-1260 and PC-1261 may also be different? Not only the RAM? The PC-1260 and 1261 are supposedly identical except for RAM size. Other Sharp and Casio systems check for RAM size (making some of them upgradable), but perhaps the PC-1260/1 do not.
