I completely agree with your assessment of how it would adversely affect the completed calculator.
If the certification laws in other countries work like they do in the U.S. would it be worth the extra
international support base to use such a module. Then there is always the risk that the manufacture
of the selected module could "STOP MAKING THEM" at an inopportune time.
