What is best way to type these symbols?
Or, suggest these should be easier on a future keyboard.
The main priority has got to be a qwerty keyboard option for when you are entering text (perhaps only on the android version where people are used to such keyboards, if that keeps examiners happy). For individual keys: := for assignment (especially since some have reported Unicode issues transferring the Sto arrow - I use a User key definition) _ underscore for program/variable names (it's on shift/chars, but it looks similar to Negate and Minus) And Shift/Info ought to be moved. Really. If a user knows how to press a Shift before pressing Info in order to get Info, they have probably already read the pdf. But I can see why you did it. You imitated the ever-popular MSDOS . Which expects users to ask for program help by typing "/?" Instead of the obvious "?". I ask about these partly in the hope of improving future keyboard layouts, but also in the hope that there is an easy way of getting them that I have overlooked. I suggest keeping this thread for common symbols - a separate one for people's favourite maths symbols. Stephen Lewkowicz (G1CMZ) https://my.numworks.com/python/steveg1cmz |
