Never seen such a Woodstock before

Never seen such a Woodstock before
Today I received another dead Woodstock, opend it up and was surprised:

Looks like a Spice power supply to me?!?
At first I thought it is a later version, but my 1979 29c looks like all the other Woodstocks, and this is a 1977 25.
Any thoughts?
