They (Mega65) improved on an existing machine, which machine do you want to improve on ? the Ti-84 ? (why not then the TI-86: wider display, better floating point).
Let me rephrase the question: which existing piece of software do you want to run on it ? Of course you can grab today a T80 core, a kind-of cheap FPGA and have it all, I just wonder about the software. Because I dream of such machines myself ;-) (I have bought a eZ80 development board and some eZ80L92 years back, for such a project that till this day did not materialize, maybe when my FPGA-based calculators run I could consider it again . |
