There are more here with more experience than I, but the DM41 has the same memory as the 41CX. It has 319 registers split up as 100 regs for data storage and 219 for programs. You can change the division to fit your needs. The Extended memory is 124 registers and the contents can be viewed using Catalog 4. For the 41CX a register is 7 bytes in size. Most commands are 1 byte but some are 2 or 3. The 219 regs of program memory should hold about a 1000 plus program lines. There are various places where you can download copies of the 41CX manuals Vol 1 & 2 or better yet purchase the Disk set from this website, they contain lots of additional information about all of the HP calc.
