You can't damage the Prime's battery by leaving the wall charger plugged in.
As I said, the device limits the charge to a trickle current once the battery is full. Things have come a long way since the old days of NiCd and NiMH batteries, which definitely could be damaged by leaving them on charge for too long. Also gone are the days when you had to discharge the battery fully and then charge it fully. That too was something inherent to NiCd and NiMH battery chemistry. Li-ion and Li-po batteries don't like that at all. It's best to maintain them somewhere between 40% and 80% charge to ensure as long a life as possible. |
