I'm not convinced that there's a prohibition on rechargeable batteries at all.
Page 7, on PDF page 5 of the original Russian manual says the following: Quote:во избежание разрушения элементов питания: Translated using Google Translate: Quote:3.3. To avoid damage to the batteries: I'm pretty sure that what that's saying is, it's forbidden to recharge the A316 batteries (which I'd guess are zinc-carbon cells?). And, the damage would be to the batteries, not the calculator. I've got Maha PowerEx 2700 mAh cells in my MK-61 right now... |
