Bricked my WP-34S

If you leave the calculator in the un-programmed state, it can drain the batteries quickly.
A good battery will read greater than 3 Volts. Anything below and you will have troubles.

I recommend you start with a fresh set of batteries, and do the following:

1. Put in the new batteries.
2. Attach the USB cable to Harold's board, and the computer.
3. Press the Reset button on the back side of the calculator under the cover.
4. Start the MySamba program and select the proper COM Port (Windows 7 or XP)
5. Press the "Exit/On/Off" button on the front of the calculator.
6. Activate the "Send" button in MySamba.
7. After sending is complete, press the Reset button on the back of the calculator again.
8. Press the "Exit/On/Off" button on the front of the calculator again.

This usually fixes bricked calculators.
