Have you considered going with the same quad-precision Intel math library that SwissMicros used to great effect with DM42? It's pretty impressively capable, and relatively hardware-inclusive w.r.t. platforms. The decNumber library does support a 128-bit decimal format, decimal128. The decNumber decimal64 nicely fits within my current data storage structure and enables an ability to choose binary 64 bit or decimal 64 bit math functions at compile time. Part of the fun of writing CC41 is the journey, and a part of what makes the journey fun is there is no deadline. That said, it would be nice to have an update released by HHC 2022 in September but there is no guarantee. Try CC41! |
