Thanks; yes, I looked at those, and also the game ones, which were superficially similar, but they didn't ring a bell either.

As 15-ish-year-olds doing Maths 'O'-Level [actually, -Grade in Scotland, i.e. GCSE] we'd definitely have needed scientific calculators, and I doubt we had money for two Smile

I'm thinking that I must be referring to the fx-8100, but I seem to remember both a taller screen, and a physical switch for time/calc, neither of which that (or any other Casio I've seen) has. Ah well.
