What do you mean "you don't know which keyboard you will have"? I have a G1. Are the keyboards made differently?

The last G1s produced had the higher-contrast keyboards but many vendors still have unsold earlier models with the lower-contrast keyboards. Unless you are dealing with a knowledgeable vendor, it's a crap shoot as to which keyboard you'll get.
