While there is no way for me to get an exact count, and it becomes especially difficult because anonymous users could post, my recreation of the old forum with my algorithm for users came up with 6226 users. The actual number was surely smaller, due to double-counting, but it's probably fairly close.

Thanks Eric. As I watched the number here climb, I've often wondered how many there were in the original Forum, and I never expected 4 significant figures. The old Forum felt to me like a smaller crowd, but always active there too.
