You can use all the space, but the Filer doesn't show free space properly: if the free space is over 1GB, the leading '1' is missing, so the real value could be the value shown, or that value plus 1,000,000,000 bytes. Also, note that cards > 1GB must be formatted on a computer, not in the 50g, and should be formatted as FAT-16, not FAT-32, for faster switch-on. FAT-16 is required if the card is to be used for SD-based ROM upgrades/reflashes.
