Don't throw away your old card reader, all what's needed to fix it is a couple of o-rings worth a few cents to replace the rotten drive wheel. Forum member Mark Hoskins will certainly send you a couple for not much more than the shipping cost (last time I bought battery packs from him he put some into the package just for the fun of it :-) ).

Personally I am not the greatest fan of the HP-41 but I think I can see what others see in it. Enjoy your new discovery.
