I think we are in danger of mixing mathematical results with the results of calculation. The statement

surely stands, in mathematics, even if it fails in calculation. (It fails because our calculations have finite resources.)

Is it certain, though, that there is no calculator input of a positive integer which causes the calculator to return a cos of zero? It's not clear to me, presently.
