I was curious and installed it on my Mac (not because I'm scared of using YouTube but because FreeTube claims to be able to download the videos in a variety of formats) thereby overriding quite a few security concerns my computer had about it. Unfortunately it consistently crashes within the first second of playing any video.

I realise this doesn't help but I've not had any crashes playing videos on my Mac Mini.
