Hold down SYMB, connect the USB, and chances are it will power up. Your battery is probably completely drained down. Leave it plugged for a while and the battery should charge up some. A real windows installation will most likely give more reliable updating then a virtual machine will unfortunately. If you continue having issues, feel free to call support if desired.
