I'm looking more into the future of the HP Prime. I notice a lot of people love the 50g. If I had to guess the reason HP didn't just upgrade the 50g hardware and roll over the software, was likely because the firmware/software/hardware are actually one fused unit. So if that is the case, then the 50g will be stuck in the era in which it was created. I hope the HP Prime is not in bed with the hardware, but that it is a software, placed on top of the hardware, so that looking into the future when hardware needs to be upgraded we can ditch the current HP Prime hardware, port all your software to a new machine with a better display, and processor..ect. And that I hope they add support for my custom units along the way. -Luis- |
