Certainly no HP, but then again no HP price tag. I think it cost me £25 in 1976. A HP was a LOT more. Beat the sliderule and 5 figure tables I was using in college up to that point. Although we did have a PDP-11 and a few ASR-33s in the Physics Department for undergraduate use. Great days. After 18 months at Marconi Space and Defence (first job) I could afford the HP-41C. Incidentally, mine is labelled as National Semiconductor on the front, perhaps Novus was an American brand name they used?
