About the Prime, why don't you try the free HP emulator? It will allow you to explore the functionalities of the calculator, and decide if they satisfy your needs.
Personally, I'm disturbed by the way the OS works, and I miss the consistency and extreme flexibility of RPL calculators. But I'm not sure I would find the TI Nspire more convenient, though.
