HI,

I have opened many spice models and the best way for me to do it (I found it somewhere in the forum, it is not my idea) was to use dental floss. Cut around 30 cm of dental floss, release the calculator back cover and slide this dental floss until the very bottom part, with the two extremes hanging in both sides. Pull from both sides 45º down and this will free the back side without the "big crack".
