Book: HP-28S Programmation et Applications / 1989
Hello everyone,

The book entitled HP 28S - Programmation et Applications was publishedby 2DI Diffusion in a single volume and can be downloaded here thanks to Eric Rechlin.

ISBN-10: 2-908005-00-X
ISBN-13: non-existent
year: 1989
price: 150 FRF
235 pages

It included an Erratum made available here by Zori (member of the Silicium Forum).
The link is valid for one week, but may be extended. It's probably best that Eric pick it up; Zori scanned it for this purpose.

Jean-Michel Ferrard subsequently published this book in two volumes with 3DI Diffusion (name change).

La Maîtrise de la HP-28S collection (and main title of the following):

⇒ Volume 1 subtitled: HP28S: Programmation et Exercices

ISBN-10: 2-908791-00-5
ISBN-13: 978-2-908791-00-6
year: 1990
price: 180 FRF
438 pages

⇒ Volume 2 subtitled: HP28S: Programmation et Applications

ISBN-10: 2-908791-01-3
ISBN-13: 978-2-908791-01-3
year: ? / ± 1990 - 91?
price: ?
296 pages

The name of the volume 2, identical to the 1989 edition (in a single volume), may contribute to the confusion.
The real difference is the addition of a chapter on Rational Fractions / Fractions Rationnelles.

After the release of the HP-48, Jean-Michel Ferrard will model the release of two new books on what he had done with the HP-28S.

I published the tittles of all the chapters (two volumes / French edition) here.

PS: not sure at all that these 2 volumes have been released in an other language contrary to what was done later with the HP-48.

Thank you. This is all very helpful and informative.

I was confused by the book I scanned not being labeled as Volume 2, and now it makes a lot more sense. I didn't realize it was a distinct book. I have renamed the listing to indicate it is the single-volume version, and I added a new entry for the actual Volume 2.

I did not previously have the errata, so thank you for linking to that. The copy of the book that I scanned had most of the errata already hand-written in the pages, and as I processed the images I digitally applied some of the errata to those pages, but I have now gone though and digitally applied all errata from the errata page to the manual. I uploaded a new PDF with these changes, along with a few other minor changes.

Eric, you're very welcome.

It was just a drop in the ocean of information you make available thanks to your sites hp-calc and literature-hp-calc.

Once again, amazing job!

Thank you very much.

Thank you for mentioning Ferrard's books. He has put a lot of work into them. Good thing I also read French!
