Simple division results in two answers

When doing the division in the mode APP Function using Home key
the result is 72000/1.5 = 48000.

However when doing 72000/(10*1.05) = 6857.14285714

Please tell me what I am missing.

10*1.05=10.5, not 1.5.

simple maths:
10*1.05 = 10.5 != 1.5

...

An HP71 in CALC mode would show you this right away. 8^)

I think the question is why dividing by a divisor that is 10 times bigger does not result in a quotient 10 times smaller.
It may simply be a typing mistake:
72000 / (10 * 1.5) = 4800 = 48000 / 10
The typing mistake is the use of 1.05 instead of 1.5
