Casio FX1000f vs Casio FX5000f
Although I switched to RPN HPs as soon as I could, I remember using a Casio FX1000f during my school days. I loved the formula library and overall it performed quite well.
So I am searching for one and I see two similar models, the FX1000f and the FX5000f. Does anyone know the differences between them? 11C 12C 15C 17BII 18C 19BII 21 25 27S 28S 32E 32S 32SII 33C 33S 34S 35S 38C 39gs 39GII 40gs 41C 41CV 41CX 42S 45 48G+ 48GII 49G 49G+ 50 67 71B 97

According to ledudu, it's just the addition of hyperbolic functions (and their inverse):
https://casio.ledudu.com/pockets.asp?type=154&lg=eng I'm kind of curious as to why the addition of hyperbolic function was such a big feature at the time that they changed the shape of the calculator (The 5000F is a flatter calculator) and gave it a new model name.

This reminds me of a conversation we had last year on the 6000G/6500G; they share a manual, and I posted that the only difference I could find was the latter added hyperbolics, other than the thickness.
I only have the 5000F, but it also shares a manual, with the 1000F and, again, the only differences I can see are added hyperbolics and the thickness/angle. A pattern emerges… Cambridge, UK 41CL/DM41X 12/15C/16C DM15/16 71B 17B/BII/bII+ 28S 42S/DM42 32SII 48GX 50g 35s 30b/WP34S Prime G2 & Casios, Rockwell 18R :)
