Polar form in CAS trouble, and questions new user
New to prime and very rusty in maths, lost my HP48GX :crying:

My issue is this. Just playing around with the emulator, I found that (1∡90) or (1,∡90) or 1∡90 locks the linux emulator. 1∡89.999 and 90.001 doesn't lock it up, 180 does lock it up. Real calculator and android app handle it fine. Hoping that the linux version keeps getting updated. So I decided to start messing with CAS.

Actually here is the issue, I enter the following
LINE:
1:1∡90
RESULT: crazy but pretty correct number converted to rectangular form.
2: copied result to entry line, was transformed back to polar, but now in radians?
RESULT: rectangular form but interpreted as deg input?
3: repeat step 2/

In radians mode the result doesn't self mutate.

Thanks
Cory

Does CAS mode always assumes Radian mode?

I've seen notes that say that certain functions (e.g. simplify, limit) work better, or more efficiently, if radians are set, but I've not seen any claim that it is required.
