Quadratic Equation on HP 41's.
Hi,
I wonder if exist a way to obtain this on my 41's and, of course, DM41L, X. Assume we resolve 9x2+0x62 : Hp 41 says : x1 = 2.62 x2 = 2.62 That is correct, but I would prefering see : SQRT(62)/3 SQRT(62)/3 I canot write the mathematical symbol of the sqrt, (V). Well hense is exist a to do this ? Best. Gérard.

RE: Quadratic Equation on HP 41's.
This forum "understands" MathJax, so you certainly can write something like \(\frac{\sqrt{62}}3\) and \(\frac{\sqrt{62}}3\)
To see that result you'd need a machine that has an "exact" mode such as the HP48G or the Prime. The HP41C and therefore the DM41 is a numericalonly machine. There are only 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

√ is U+221A in the Arial, Consolas & Verdana fonts
WORD: √ is U+221A in Insert, Symbol...; √ is Insert... Object... Create... New Microsoft Equation; √ is 221A, Alt+X shortcut key; LaTex; are some of the available options for √ BEST! SlideRule
