RE: Repair of HP71B HP-IL module
Thanks for the comments!
This module may now be working, but the rather battered HP71B it originally came in immediately packed up. It works in either of my two other HP71Bs. But the dead HP71B now has an odd bubbly look on the display and the display area is darker. There is no display at all when I hit the power button. I have no idea what might have happened. Oh well, at least I have a spare HP-IL module now! I'm awaiting a new filament feed mechanism from China for my 3D printer, so I can print some HP-IL connectors to the excellent Martin Hepperle design. Then I can really get stuck into some HP-IL and HPIB fun... -Jeremy Jeremy. HP restorer/collector/user. HP85/86/87 and HP41/71/75. HPIB and HP-IL testgear and peripherals. |
