HP 31E and 33C won't power up

HP 31E and 33C won't power up
Hi, I have a 31E and a 33C that appear in very good condition with no visible corrosion, however, they show no signs of life with new batteries in them.

Any tips or pointers to articles on what to look for and check to try and get these going again when I open them up?
