Rubber for Voyager Feet
I finally got around to replacing worn and missing feet for a few voyagers and I found some excellent material on the Bay.

5x7" sheet - 1/16" thick and cuts smooth. A little piece of double sided tape and done. I thought about a spray adhesive but will keep that in reserve if the tape fails.

My wife certainly raised an eyebrow when a mailer from Ruby's Rubbers arrived. Smile

Did you notice this:

A little more money, a lot less time and work.

I've used them, and can happily recommend them.

RE: Rubber for Voyager Feet
Hi Bob,

I did check those sweet feet out and TBH its not really that much work once you have cut one foot for a template. Its amazing the amount of feet that are worn and missing. I am doing about 4 calcs and $4 vs ~ $20 won in my "thrifty" perspective.

Thanks and trust me if it was one set I would do the stick it and forget option.

BTW I think the CalculatorStore is giving a free set of 41 feet with a 40+ Euro purchase right now.

Take Care,
Thrifty Bill

RE: Rubber for Voyager Feet
Thanks for the information.
I bought a set of rubber feet and it allowed me to fix 3 voyagers, it's really annoying to try to type things in on a hard desk with a wobble.
Thanks again for sharing.

I, too, have purchased feet from this seller.

As an alternate, Samson Cables also carries feet.

RE: Rubber for Voyager Feet
I used the rubber self adhesive material from bicycle tire repair kit (discard the liquid glue tube), cut to size. I 3D printed out a template so that I can cut them reliably with a knife.

Shop around and you'll find the right size and thickness mimic to the original.

RE: Rubber for Voyager Feet
Hi everyone,
Here's my 2-cents, using an old bike tyre innertube, cut out the size to fit the recess, stick on some double sided tape & insert into the footing/slot.
I have a card reader with a recessed foot slot, way over 10 years ago the rubber was lost. Since then the rubber innertube insert has worked faultlessly.
