Connectivity Kit
To summarize first: - my HP Prime has sw version 2.1.14588 (2021 05 05), hw version C, serial #3CD6200039, os: V0.050.640 - PC: Win version 21H1 (Build 19043.1110) - HP Connectivity kit x64_20210609.msi, version 2.1.14592 ----- Connectivity kit starts well. Name of my HP Prime appears in a pane. When clicking the HP Prime name, list of installed application appears, but quickly disappears without possibility to click on any application. HP Prime simultaneously restarts and X2+y2=1 appears on the calculator screen. I am an old guy (81) and I use my calculator more for fun, than for serious calculations. Very previous versions of the connectivity kit worked ok. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Slavomir |

RE: Connectivity Kit
Not a Connectivity Kit user myself, just my experience with USB in general is that trying another computer/port/cable is a worthy exercise. Especially cables are prone to malfunctioning. Sorry if I'm just stating the obvious...

RE: Connectivity Kit
Especially now that they have the USB-Charging-Only abominations.

RE: Connectivity Kit
I had the same issue and after an installation of the CK on an other computer I got the same problem.
I did indeed a factory reset and now it's OK. Here is the procedure I followed ( I don't remember where I got it) : "The following always resets the calculator to factory-new condition: • Press and hold c, f, and o • While holding them all down, poke a paperclip into the RESET hole in the back. • When the diagnostic screen appears, release the c, f, and o keys. • Press 4 (FLS Utility), then 3 (Format Disk C), then Enter. This will wipe the memory of the calculator to factory-new condition. • When the blue OK appears, press Esc, then 9 (RESET). • It usually ends with the initial setup, including swiping the tiny HP logo to the right with your finger, selecting the default language, and/or other stuff, depending on your hardware and firmware versions." Hope it will resolve your trouble. |

RE: Connectivity Kit
I had the same issue. This has working for me with my HP Prime rev.A G1 without data lost:
Uninstall the current CK. Install the CK version v.2.1.14425 (2020 1 16). Copy v.2.1.14425 (2020 01 16) firmware files to 'Documents/HP Connectivity Kit/Firmware/PrimeG1/'. Launch the CK and upgrade (downgrade) the HP Prime to 2.1.14425 (2020 01 16) Now you can do a backup of your calculator (in a ZIP file) with the CK. Uninstall the CK v.2.1.14425 and install the lastest version. Clear the HP Prime memory with ON + APP + Esc keys. Upgrade the HP Prime to the lastest version. To restore some of your applications, unzip the backup file, drag & drop the folder ending with ".hpappdir" to 'Application Library' in the CK application. |
