(TI-58/59) Wald Sequential Sampling
An excerpt from Computing Wald Sequential Sampling Plans for Fraction Defective, Naval Postgraduate School, NPSSS-81-012, May ]981, 15 pgs.

ABSTRACT
A program is given for TI-58 and TI-59 calculators which readily
computes Wald sequential sampling plans in both graphic and
tabular form. The program also computes points on both the
operating characteristic curve and the average sample nunber
curve for the sequential plan.

Modern handheld programmable calculators offer a way of
rapidly determining a sequential sampling plan and of exploring
the plan's operating characteristic and average sample
number curves. This paper presents a program for the Texas
Instruments TI-58 or TI-59 calculators which will permit the
engineer without other computer resources to develop Wald sequential
sampling plans, their operating characteristic curves,
and their average sample number curves.
The program is given in Appendix B of this report. The
body of the report describes Wald sequential sampling plans
and the use of the TI-58/59 program, and includes a worked
example. A "Program Operating Summary" is given in Appendix
A.
