Very Bold 11C LCD with Colors
I purchased an 11C that looked broken.

The screen has a blue and purple ring or hue to it.

When I put batteries in and turned it on, the LCD is extremely clear and the text is extra extra bold.

Out of a couple dozen voyagers, it is the boldest text I have seen.

Would anyone know if this is related to the blue and purple hue on the LCD or what that is?

I took a photo to compare it to a 15C which already had a great display and what I thought was bold numbers.

I own neither 11C nor 15C but I have two 12C with different LCD like this, one with bolder digits.

HP-12C Gold / HP-12C Platinum

Could it have had its LCD replaced with a 12C donor screen?

Could you provide one or more photos which show the calcs at the same level?
On the photo attached to your post the calcs show a significant size difference.
Not of the chars but of the case size.
The calc in the front is much nearer to the camera, as can be seen by the case dimensions.
Also the calc in the front shows almost completely different numbers,
so the whole thing is hardly comparable.

And as always: More light, please.
The provided photo shows the background parcel in relatively bright light,
but the items of interest in dark shadow.
