I want to share with you a nice HP-01 ensemble on the occasion of a jubilee. These defective modules have accumulated in the last years during my repairs. Some of them have still their LED display, mostly some segments are defective, others have transferred the display successfully to a new HP-01 circuit, as shown in the upper left.

The jubilee to celebrate is the 50th repaired HP-01 watch with the new HP-01 circuit since july 2016.

My HP-01 still works... I am wondering if I should order one of these modules just in case the day comes when it stops. I don't want them to disappear when I need it (in who knows how many years). Thanks for making it!

Absolutely! You need to use the engineering principle of Applied Superstition here. The only way to make sure your original module doesn't fail is to have a replacement on hand. :-)
