Sharp scientific calc tutorial
Sharp publishes a nice video tutorials of its scientific calculator. The user interface is very different from HP, TI, and Casio, much less intuitive, in my opinion. However, the range of features is quite impressive for a cheap scientific calc:

RE: Sharp scientific calc tutorial
Thanks for the link
Here is a 2019 discussion of some aspects of the Sharp EL-W506T (and other similar Sharp, Casio and TI models). The second page includes links to a number of TI and Sharp calculator emulators. https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-13968.html |

I was looking for an EL-W506T in the US, but checking around there does not appear to be EL-W506T on the US market, only the standard EL-506TS without WriteView. However, the EL-W516XBSL appears to be the same as the EL-W506T when comparing them side-by-side, or are they not the same? Sharp EL-W506T: https://global.sharp/products/calculator...index.html# Sharp EL-W516XBSL: (e.g. Amazon US and other stores) Sharp EL-W516TBSL: (not on Amazon US, but eBay etc.) I don't see any difference between the EL-W506T (from the Sharp site) and the new EL-W516XBSL or the EL-W516TBSL models sold in the US. Is there a difference between these three? EDIT: apparently Amazon (and perhaps other sites) picture the wrong EL-W516 model. The EL-W516XBSL has no WriteView, yet the picture with the title EL-W516XBLSL shows an EL-W516T with WriteView. This is madness. - Rob "I count on old friends to remain rational" |
