RE: HP Spice battery door
I just tried the 3D printed spice cover on one of my HP-34C and here are my comments ...
The cover in general is really nice, but it need some fine tuning before being usable. Remember, the following defects could be the fault of the designer or of the 3d part manufacturer. The cover body and underneath clip are just little bit too long, preventing the cover to completely fit and thus do not click. Also, the cover seems to be a little bit off center to the right. I will try to remove some material to see if I can make it work correctly and if I am able to correct the issues, I will give feedback to Nate Martin. Remember, it's possible that the design is correct and that the faults are in the plastic part printed by shapeways. Sylvain |
