RE: Sources for 2" thermal paper ?
I find that most thermal paper is specified in mm units. Searching for 50mm thermal paper brings up a lot of results from the medical field. Evidently this is a popular size for EKG machines which means a lot of it has gridlines printed on it. You can find pain white though you may want to message the seller to make sure it does not have gridlines:

I have also found that it is easier to find thermal paper based on the manufacturer of the printer mech. For example Casio was fond of using Seiko mechs so if you can find a cross reference to the Seiko part number you will get a lot more hits.

Thank you. I had seen that auction listing, but as you note, it's has medical gridlines printed on it.

Have emailed the seller, so we shall see.

Was just hoping someone here might have luck finding some or might have better ideas on my search.

RE: Sources for 2" thermal paper ?
This seller (website only in German) offers thermal paper in several widths.
https://shop.pml-papiere.de/product_info...cts_id/121
25 rolls, 30 meters 50 mm wide

No shipping prices given to US but they mention they ship throughout Europe and even farer countries: https://shop.pml-papiere.de/shipping.php

So maybe it's worth a request here:

Found another one (more expensive but maybe easier to deal with) on ebay.de who does ship only a few countries (50 rolls minimum):
