PPC ROM in HP-41CX

I recently tried to turn on my HP-41CX but there was no response from display. Checked batteries and they all checked at 0.7 volts. Replaced batteries but still no display. Battery contacts in good condition. Had four modules installed, PPC, Stat 1, Finance 1, and Math 1.
Removed all modules and now got the "Memory Lost" display. Tried reinserting the modules one at a time and inserting the PPC ROM is when calculator failed. Removed PPC ROM and everything seems to work OK now.
