submitting a 42S program (code & documentation)
Dear Colleagues

I am a recent member of Museum of HP Calculators, and I would be willing to share some of my (simple) programs for HP-42S.

However, I still have not figured out how to submit or upload the codes and documentations in the General Software Library,
(besides the codes, I intend to upload the documentation in Excel or pdf as well).

Should I submit by posting a new thread, containing the code and documentation?

I would be quite thankful in case someone tell me how to proceed for submitting the programs.

And I am really sorry for asking help for something that I am sure that is easy to find, and I should find…
(I had been really trying to find it out…)

Kind Regards

Emilio

RE: submitting a 42S program (code & documentation)
As a new member myself (this is my very first post!), I look forward to seeing your programs - especially as I have also been exploring the 42S !!

I hope you will soon get an expert response but I'm sure you could simply submit your work as a new thread in the 42S forum - or perhaps even here. It seems this thread itself has been moved from wherever you placed it, so it looks like the moderation team know what they're doing and would move anything to the correct page, as necessary.

Best of luck.
I'm looking forward to trying out your programs!

RE: submitting a 42S program (code & documentation)
Hello Emilio,
Welcome.

You may find examples in the General Library, like:

This one (simple and clear): https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-18763.html

This other one (simple and clear + link inside): https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-18945.html

This third one (with lots of sections and explanations): https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-19011.html

This last one (based on an attached file): https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-11866.html

Use the # button to insert the code marker. Use preview to check if you’re happy with your post.

RE: submitting a 42S program (code & documentation)
Emilio,

I'll add my late welcome to the MoHPC Forum, I think you'll find it a warm, friendly and interesting place.

For sharing documentation and other files, each member has some data space allocated for holding Attachments to posts, however many people find the available space limiting, so many folks share (especially larger) files by uploading them to file sharing services such as DropBox, OneDrive, GDrive, etc. and then inserting links to these shared files in the message posts they create.

You're welcome to simply use the attachment feature while that space is available, I just wanted to mention it before you are partway through your uploads and run into the storage space limit.

Thanks for sharing your content here, and please feel free to ask questions, I think you'll find this is just about the most helpful collection of members you'll ever find in a topical Forum like this one.

Enjoy yourself!

Dear Bob

I had not realized the limit space issue.

Thanks a lot for your kind advice!
