9825, 9845 tapes and manuals
In looking through some old HP parts in the outer reaches of my calculator collection, I've come across a few items that may be of interest to others. Some are tapes and likely unreadable but I don't know if they're interesting enough for someone to try to recover.

HP/DC100 cartridges

'System tape cartridge' 09885-90035 - don't know what system no box
9845B Introductory Training Cartridge 09845-10124 no box
9825A System Test Cartridge 09825-90036 9825A and peripherals

Manuals

HP 9825A CalculatorError Messages 09825-90015 (a tiny quick ref guide)
HP 9825A Calculator Quick Reference Guide 09825-90011 (2 copies)
HP 9825A Desktop Computer System Test Booklet 09825-90037

I don't plan on keeping these if there's interest. If they're of no merit I might recycle the cartridges by trying to replace the tape on them. Would that be a crime ? I have a 9815 that could use them but don't see tape as a long term answer.

This tape is used to initialize the 9885 floppy disks for the 9825A, and is pretty rare. We should preserve it.

RE: 9825, 9845 tapes and manuals
I will definitely preserve it, then.

However, is it so rare nobody's put a copy in an archive, or is it just interesting as original media ?

Has anyone got sufficient low level experience of the 9825A tape drives to perhaps recover it even if it doesn't easily read ? Or if it's hard to copy, as Katie has described of some other maintenance utility ?
And probably need to rebuild the cartridge first to avoid stripping all the oxide off the tape.

Many people have been looking for one for decades. There are some people with the ability to extract the data safely if the tape hasn't been torn up by a sticking tension band.
