Connectivity Kit + Mac not working
Hello,

I sold my HP Prime 3 years ago because I couldn't connect it to my Mac. Seeing that the connectivity kit is available on Mac, I bought a new Prime (g2).
But it doesn't work, it's not detected by the software.

My Mac is M1 Pro Chip, OS Ventura 13.2.1

Do you have a solution?

Hello,

This happens very often when you don't use a good data cable

RE: Connectivity Kit + Mac not working
It does work for me with my Prime G2 and M1 Max, Ventura 13.2.1. Version of the connectivity kit is 2.1.14425.

Some folks are reporting USB issues with macOS 13, see for example: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/mac...e.2378022/
And actually my Casio fx-9750giii will not be recognized, while my Prime works.
You may want to try a USB powered hub to see if that makes any difference, but otherwise it seems to be a Mac connectivity issue that needs to be addressed by Apple.

Cheers,

Paul

RE: Connectivity Kit + Mac not working
I can't tell you what's wrong with your configuration but the following worked for me.

1) Started HP Connectivity Kit

2) Answered "Allow" to "Allow access to files and folders" prompt. (I think this only came up because this was the first time I had run the Connectivity Kit since the last OS update.)

3) Plugged in a no-name, bought from eBay, USB-C to USB-A (female) adapter cable.

4) Plugged in a standard USB-A to micro-USB cable (ex Nokia)

5) Plugged the micro-USB end into the Prime (while it was switched on)

6) Answered "Allow" to "Allow accessory to connect" prompt

The G2 Prime then appears in the HP Connectivity Kit display.

That's it.

Version info:

HP Connectivity Kit = Build 2.1.14425 (2020 1 16)

Mac = MacBook Air M1 2020, macOS Ventura 13.2.1

Edit: should have added but I don't think it matters: Connectivity kit preferences: everything ticked - so IP networking, mDNS, multibroadcast with wireless 1, 2 & 3 Automatic Selection ticked with default SSIDs.
