I am closing down my HP4171.com website.
It seems that interest in my stands has dwindled to nothing and my domain and hosting fees are coming due in early April.

I have reduced the prices on everything that is still in stock and will leave the store active until stock runs out or the site is no longer active.

Thanks to all of my past customers for helping me to subsidize my HP collecting hobby.

I am sorry that shipping rates to destinations outside the US are expensive.
I do not set the rates for international shipping, taxes, duties, etc.
I am subject to them just as you are.

Please do not send me angry Private Messages. That will not reduce shipping rates.

Very sad, as this resource is valuable to us HP collectors, fans and wackos.

I'd be willing, as would several other members here I'm sure, to contribute to a small fund to offset the costs for domain and hosting. If such interest is confirmed by others below, would you reconsider keeping it open.

And for those that sent Dan nasty PMs complaining about international shipping costs, please:

1. Grow-up
2. Apologize (privately)
3. Research such international shipping rates - you can easily verify what Dan charges is according to published rates and not some greedy ploy to extract extra $ from foreigners.

Hope we can turn this around...

I'll add my voice to those who will miss the site. I just received the HP-41 stand and N-Cell charger adapters I ordered. I'm very happy with them. Thanks!

For folks who haven't seen the HP-41 stand, it's well designed. Not only does it hold the HP 41 at a nice viewing angle, Dan modified it to hold Swiss Micro calculators as well. It noticeably reduces the "edge key" wobble. That alone makes it a keeper!

The N-Cell adapters are perfect for charging N cells in a typical multi-battery charger.

FWIW, if you moved your store to TAS I'd still buy.
