HP 41c with X-FUNCTION
hi all

just a question about the X-FUNCTION module.

I have a 41c with quad memory, total registers are 320.
if I add one X-FUNCTION to this 41C, the registers are still 320 as maximum?

in another words, the X-FUNCTION module could be in 41C with quad memory or not?

thanks!
BR,
bai

RE: HP 41c with X-FUNCTION
It's separate.  You can definitely use it with the quad memory module, but XMem is more like a hard disc, and is file-oriented.  It does not extend your normal memory.  The X-Fcn module has 126 registers, but two are used for the header of each file; so if you only had one file, you'd have 124 registers available for it.  In general, n files offer 126-2n registers for you to use.  If you add two XMem modules (or a double one, which is rare, but I have one), you'll have 600 registers.
