(08-05-2023 01:24 AM)Gene Wrote: Data registers - correct. An Error 10 results if you try 100 DIM (i). The limitations of extended versions (w/ more the 99 registers) are already known for the SwissMicros DM15L, but having them all in one place here may be convenient: Major limitations: - inverting a matrix, or calculating the determinant, or solving a system larger than 8x8 gives wrong results, or may crash the machine. - it is not recommended to enter more than 999 program steps (no crash but possible weird effects after step 999). Especially step 1000 is displayed as " 000-000000" - the GTO CHS sequence to reach a particular program step can't go beyond 999. Minor limitations that just give an error message: - you can't allocate more than 99 storage registers, - you can't create a matrix with more than 99 elements in a row or column: i.e. you can't do 120 ENTER 1 DIM A but you can do 60 ENTER 2 DIM A to get a matrix with 120 elements. If other limitations are known, please share ! J-F |

The cable to reprogram the unit was RS232 to custom POGO connector. The newer HP12c (from 2015) and HP15CE have a SAM4LC2CA processor with much lower battery consumption. The cable is now USB to same custom POGO connector, so it is NOT the same cable (although it can be converted from the original with a no-way-back method) The known bugs were fixed but of course there may be new introduced! |

RE: NEW: HP 15C Collectors Edition
My HP 15 CE is scheduled to arrive on Monday, 8/7. I'm encouraged by all the good news that I'm reading so far.
The dates from the 1.L 2.C 3.H menu: HP 15C LE: 2011-04-15 HP 12C: 2008-06-28 (overdue for an upgrade?) |

RE: NEW: HP 15C Collectors Edition
The last paid orders have been packed and will leave early Monday. 705 orders but 937 calculators - many getting 2 or more units.
I see that shipping has improved a lot - the time to destination, even to overseas customers, is getting shorter and shorter. In many cases, customers in France and Germany got the calculator 1 day after handling it to UPS or SEUR. |

Thank you, I believe I have collected at least one each of most generations of th 12C, including 2019, and 2021 manufacturering dates, so should have a matched set. The new ones are so much faster than the originals! |

Two questions (if they have not been already answered):
1. Is the PSE (pause) bug fixed? 2. Is the multiple combination (Cy,x)/ permutation (Py,x) bug fixed? Reference: https://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap...?read=1089 |

I got #109 which goes very well with yours Maximilian And yes, I am into airplanes too. What do you fly? Serial numbers were not consecutive in my case. My 2nd one is #174. Now which one do I use daily and which one do I keep as a spare/collector? (I'm sure to lose some sleep on that question ) Here too perfect quality, no f/g flaws or anything. Only strange thing, the protective foils were attached to the windows of the boxes, not to the calculator. Not sure if it was intended that way, but I'll sure not loose any sleep on that. And yes, absolutely happy with my purchase. Well worth the wait. Next step, a HP-16C with HP-15C mode? |
