storing solution from Financial App

Apparently the outcome of "solve" in the
financial TVM app is not recognized as ANS
for purposes of storing the solution into
a variable.

To compare two outcomes (i.e., future
value with 6% vs. 6.2% interest), using the
financial TVM app, I find it takes 10 keypunches to
store each number:

After generating the TVM solution, it requires
1. shift
2. View(copy),
3. esc (to exit the app)
4. shift
5. Menu(paste)
6. enter (to create ANS)
7. shift
8. EEX (store)
9. Alpha
10. pick-a-letter to store into
11. Num (to get back into TVM)

Is there a faster way?

From the TVM app press Home Vars Finance TVM and you have access to all TVM variables. While staying in the Num view you can also select the value you want to save, press EDIT shift STO and then enter the variable name to store into.

Your first method needs 9 keys presses (Not necessary to press Home first)

The second method (EDIT) is faster: assuming the box in the TVM is selected (i.e., FV),
it takes 6 key presses to save the value.
