Gamma fn of complex argument
Although it says defined for real, the CAS.Gamma function can take a complex argument and gives the correct results.
However, if I try to execute CAS.Gamma(2*i) in HOME I get a syntax error. How to I have the CAS side execute an approximation and return the results to the RPN stack on the HOME side? Thanks in advance. Merry Christmas! -drl |

RE: Gamma fn of complex argument
When I execute CAS.Gamma(2*i) in Home I get (-1+2*i)!, which is correct but unhelpful. Entering CAS.Gamma(approx(2*i)) works; strangely, CAS.Gamma(2.0*i) does not. However, in no case do I get a syntax error.
I’m using the HP Prime Lite app on an iPad, latest version. Nigel (UK) |

RE: Gamma fn of complex argument
Firmware versions might differ, but my Prime in Home evaluates approx(Gamma(2*i)) just fine. Try omitting the "CAS." from your expression.

RE: Gamma fn of complex argument
Thanks all, this calculator is a strange beast I am having fun dealing with its weirdness! In a better world it wouldn't be weird but whatever! I love it anyway!
