Astech Pioneer Case - Chipped and Cracked at Hinge

Hi community,

My beloved 42s has been residing in its Astech case for many years. I carry it this way in a pocket within my work backpack to keep it safe.

Today, I had my backpack standing upright on a table, with the zippers open. It got knocked over and the Astech/42s combo hit the ground pretty hard. Good news is the 42s seems perfectly fine. However, the Astech suffered 3 injuries. Two chipped edges, and a crack in one of the hinges.

I’m most concerned about the hinge. Any ideas on how to repair it? I am not sure the pin can be removed to effect a repair ? Any thoughts on adhesives to use ? I worry about the longevity of the hinge, even though it appears to be able to rotate in spite of the crack.
