Experimntal data analysis - slopes and areas
When experimental data is collected via SS410, the net results are exported to either Stats 1var or 2var, then analysed.

While fitting a linear or non-linear model to data, then differentiating or integrating a model works on some cases, there are many cases that fitting global function is not an option (e.g. think of interrupted, piecewise, distance vs. time data).

Is there a way of analyzing raw experimental (or nearly raw - as in splines fit for instance) data sets somehow?

Failing this, how do I easily divide the recorded data into manageable chunks that could be analysed in a piecewise fashion (e.g. by fitting separate curves to them and calculating what's needed - typically slopes and areas under the curve).

Cheers!
