TI-74 top port cover
Hi all,
I recently acquired a TI-74 from EBAY. The machine usually sits inside an enclosed plastic case. When I took it out the case, I noticed that the top port has no coverings; which is questionable. Could other TI-74 owners help me check if it comes with a plastic cover/lid for the top port? Thanks! |

RE: TI-74 top port cover
You mean the 10 pin peripheral port I suppose. My TI-74 has no cover there. My TI-95 (their bodies are nearly identical) has no cover there either. They both are second-hand but I believe the previous owners didn't lose them, considering the calculators' overall condition. Also I've never seen a picture or video of those ports covered, IIRC. I think there's no need to worry.

RE: TI-74 top port cover
I can confirm the absence of a port cover here. I have a TI-74 and 2x TI-95, including one where the former owner was careful enough to keep the "cheat sheet" inside the case, and none of them has a cover on this port.

RE: TI-74 top port cover
Thanks for all who responded!
It looks like the TI-74 top port has no cover or lid. |
